The AUDITION SKILLS WEEKEND

   

 

You know you’d be great if they gave you the part... here’s how to show them who you are & what you know! 

Auditioning is a skill, and like any skill it can be learned. 

In this high intensity workshop you will... 

* Discover what they are REALLY looking for...

* Learn a series of specific steps that will dramatically improve your auditions

* Practice the cold reading solution

* Improve your work with extensive video and director’s feedback

* Explore your strengths and weaknesses in the art of the audition... get your auditioning back on track!

* All actors will work on an audition monologue, cold readings, film and theatre audition scenes reviewed on-camera

Good performers will surface, but the busiest actors are those who can audition as well as they perform. Actors who've taken audition training with us are on stage around town, at the Shaw Festival, Second City Main-Stage, Stratford and in theatres from London to Broadway, and from Vancouver to Los Angeles. Our students work regularly on dozens of TV series, in many feature films and movies-of-the-week. This is the workshop for people who want to improve their cold-reading and audition techniques for film, theatre and TV roles. We put a lot of emphasis on how to prepare and then how to win!

* Performer's union rate: $220.00 PLUS GST= $231.00

NOTE: You need some basic experience OR actor training to get the most of this class.  We cover most kinds of audition EXCEPT the TV Commercial process in this intense immersion-style workshop. [For that work go to our dedicated TV Commercial class.]
